I'm trying out my new Cretacolor charcoal pencils and I must say they're great. Not as smudgy as willow charcoal but a lot smoother than regular pencils. For the more precise strokes I use some Koh-I-Noor pencils. Other suggestions on charcoal pencils?

This is often how I create my illustrations. I find inspiration from different things and places and then put everything together in Photoshop.
I saw some beautiful sweet peas in a flower shop I wanted to put them in an illustration.
I'm slightly obsessed by California girls with messy beach hair at the moment. Especially vintage photos of them.
I'm using a Pentel GraphGear 500, bought in pen paradise Penstore in Stockholm. I also use Pilot H-323 and a variety of Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth pencils that I found in this little shop in Visby.
I used some paint markers for the yellow dress and added some watercolour for the green flowers. Voilà!

A couple a days ago I created this illustration called "Dreaming of summer." I always feel a lot of things tumble around in your head during the summer. Hopefully, you finally get the chance to relax and you might dream of excited things that are approaching. Perhaps you go look back on great memories when autumn is approaching. What are your summer dreams like?
When I created the illustration, this song suddenly popped up in my head. It was the first song in English I learnt as a child. Quite annoying but I had to include the lyrics in the drawing. Do you remember it? Why do things like these stick but now all the big exams you've done?
